byFounders Welcomes Magnus Hambleton, and Expands the Team into Stockholm

Magnus has an industry agnostic mindset with a rooting interest in HealthTech (particularly FemTech) and ML/AI - an interest that perhaps stems from the insights he acquired while working at the digital birth control company, Natural Cycles. 

During his time at Natural Cycles, Magnus focused on growth and product all the while teaching himself machine learning to create a neural network-based fertility model.

Prior to Natural Cycles, Magnus worked as a consultant for the Boston Consultant Group (BCG) on projects ranging from banking transformations to using distributed python scripts to model telecommunication networks to value 5G spectrum licenses.

At university, Magnus co-founded and ran a coworking space and startup incubator for students, dropouts, and recent graduates. This is where he first developed his interest in early-stage startups and the unique set of challenges and opportunities they face.

Magnus is a keen advocate for diversity and inclusion in the tech industry and values this highly in his decision-making process. He donates 10% of his income to charities via Effective Altruism.

Outside of work, Magnus likes to kitesurf, climb, hike, and play music. In the last couple of years, he’s found an interest in generative art and playing with large language and image models (in fact, parts of this announcement were generated by GPT-3). 

Magnus has an international background, having grown up in Sweden, Indonesia, Singapore, and New Zealand, and worked and studied in Australia and Switzerland, In 2018, he finally found back to his Swedish roots and now hopes to stay for a while!
